Out of the Greasy Gutter is a blog of thoughts on society and the individual’s role in shaping it… essentially an introduction to advocacy and social change in the past, present and future. 

This blog is ultimately concerned with the ends and means of social change, and a handful of noteworthy individuals and organisations (both the good and the bad). The focus is generally on those issues confronting the developed world (particularly Australia), noting that these undeniably impact the developing world.   

This blog started as a attempt to distill some thoughts about the world we live in, what it should be like and some ideas on how to get there. Its written by a naive Aussie, with a western bias, a slightly leftward leaning and a dry research background.
